Who is behind it?
Giavicni
Our journey began in 1994 in the heart of a small town in our parents' craft business.
As a young enthusiast, I transformed old lamp sockets into futuristic UFOs after work.
Years later, as a 44-year-old entrepreneur, I no longer built UFOs, but my fascination with light remained.
My company grew to over 60 employees and produced more than a million lights.
It was a successful time, characterized by innovation and growth.
But in 2020 the tide turned.
A virus went around the world and triggered a chain of events:
Drastic government measures, unprecedented quarantine absences among the workforce and a collapse of supply chains.
Costs exploded, sales collapsed, customers filed for bankruptcy, and a recession seemed inevitable.
The challenges seemed overwhelming and the survival of our company was at stake.
In this time of chaos and despair, we discovered something important.
I asked myself:
How can I, with what I have learned so far in my life about light and emotions, create a new product that can be custom-made in the midst of this economic crisis and bring a smile to people's faces?
As if all the ups and downs of my life had led me to this very point, the answer was as simple as it was astonishing:
Why not transform our customers’ emotional moments into light?
With the move away from mass production and towards custom-made, high-quality works of art, GIAVINCI was born.
Today, GIAVINCI stands not just for a product, but for an experience.
Every photo our clients provide us with already contains real emotions – emotions that we transform into a work of light art.
And when you see your personalized mural for the first time, you are guaranteed to be deeply touched.
This is not just our business, this is our passion - this is GIAVINCI .
